famed for its beaches, dining, and culture. By car, the aquarium is minutes from downtown La Jolla and La Jolla Shores.
If you are combining a day at La Jolla Shores beach with an aquarium
visit, take a leisurely stroll from La Jolla Shores beach, through
the historic Scripps Campus (where free walking tour maps are
available), and head up to Birch Aquarium via the footbridge over
La Jolla Shores Drive.
Birch Aquarium is wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs are available for visitors' use. Handicapped parking is located in the traffic circle at the front of the aquarium.
